(hereinafter “Co-LABO MAKER”), a startup originating from Tohoku University that operates the research resource sharing platform “Co-LABO MAKER” (https://co-labo-maker.com/).
The details of the business partnership with Co-LABO MAKER are as follows.
➀ Hideto Kojima, Distinguished Professor at Shiga University of Medical Science and Head of Research and Development at Biozipcode, has discovered abnormal stem cells that prevent diabetes from being cured. Biozipcode is developing new diagnostic agents for diabetes and innovative therapeutics aimed at curing diabetes by targeting these abnormal stem cells. Repurposing existing drugs could significantly shorten the development timeline, and the company aims to commercialize oral medications as well as intravenous treatments. Through Co-LABO MAKER’s platform, Biozipcode expects to establish collaborative relationships with a wide range of partners and further advance this socially significant initiative.
➁ As announced on September 12, 2022, Biozipcode provides advisory services in diabetes and regenerative medicine, drawing on the technologies and expertise accumulated through its research activities. Through this partnership with Co-LABO MAKER, Biozipcode will list specific research resources, including those related to regenerative medicine and animal experiments involving mice, rats, and zebrafish, on the Co-LABO MAKER platform. The platform will help connect Biozipcode with potential clients for its advisory services, including pharmaceutical companies, health food manufacturers, and research institutions.
