Biozipcode, Inc. Announces Acquisition of Rights Related to International Patent Applications for Diabetes Treatments

Biozipcode, Inc. announces that it has decided to acquire from Shiga University of Medical Science the rights to obtain patents, upon their registration, for inventions for which the university has filed international applications under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).

The rights to be acquired by Biozipcode, Inc. relate to the following two PCT international patent applications.

Biozipcode, Inc. will proceed with national and regional phase entry under the PCT for these applications in Japan, the United States, Europe, China, Australia, and South Korea, where strong demand for diabetes therapeutics is anticipated, and pursue patent protection in these jurisdictions.

Biozipcode, Inc. will file additional patent applications as necessary and advance research and development targeting global markets to develop therapeutics aimed at curing not only diabetes but also cancer and other difficult-to-treat diseases.
